Foreign Correspondents Part 2, Broken Lip Continued (Spain) CONTINUED (English Translation)

(SPANISH TRANSLATION HERE)

For my second post I wanted to talk a little about some producers in my country (Spain). I always liked searching for hours for good music and between all these hours at the computer I have discovered many musicians that can stand up with the large international producers of USA or UK, which are usually the countries that attract the most attention for pioneering in terms of electronic music.

In Spain there are not many cities that have clubs that promote electronic music styles such as Garage, Footwork, Juke, Trap etc ... Except Madrid and Barcelona and some other cities you can find something different to David Guetta, and other mainstream DJ's. You could say that support for this culture is not very good in my country, but saying that I am more proud to see that in my country there are people who work hard and to good effect making high quality music. Here I have prepared a small list of producers here you ought to know and get to know.

Hope you like, and little by little with music like this things will get better in my beloved country in crisis!

Broken Lip.

(Continued from Part 1)

1. beGun (Soundcloud, Facebook)

San Francisco by beGun

A producer I discovered just a few months ago and is one that surprised me. A breath of fresh air for your ears, Begun has played in Boiler Room (Barcelona) and soon will travel to Mexico to play. This Catalan producer comes with great force.

2. Orphidal (Soundcloud, Facebook)

Orphidal - Night Texture by Orphidal

Orphidal aka Diego Monterrubio, is a producer of northern Spain, based in Madrid and founder with Doma's Music Label "Soullesslab Records". Definitely one of my favorite domestic producers, he has a great sound and versatility in styles.

3. Doma (Soundcloud, Facebook)

Doma - End off **** [Free DL] by DOMA

Fabio aka Vinuesa Doma is the other 50% of the Soullesslab label. I have been following Soulless for years and it is always a good benchmark for producers with their own ideas and personal sound. You should also follow the official website of his label with Orphidal in which you can download and stream their vast catalogue, http://www.soullesslabrecords.com/. You won't be disappointed. :)

4. Skaar (Soundcloud, Facebook)

Skaar - Reminiscent by Soulless Lab Records

I met this producer thanks to the VVAA collective who published a few months ago the label of which I spoke earlier (Soulless Lab). It is very reassuring to see that in 2013 there are people who are still producing Dubstep in its purest sense, and Skaar is one of those producers that make it clear. I can sleep easy knowing that even more people with principles aren't selling out to the fashions or latest trends and make serious music of high quality.

5. Alizzz (Soundcloud, Facebook)

Alizzz "In Chains" by XLR8R

We return to Barcelona, this time to talk about another big producer, named aLiZzZ aka Cristian Quirante who has produced great tracks for labels like Donky Pitch, Mofohifi and Arkestra. While I would define his style as Epic or Wonky Bass, he undoubtedly produces high quality music and is just another musician who does not stop amazing me with each new track. His latest EP "Whoa" http://shop.arkestra.net/album/whoa is a pure bomb!

6. PedroLaDroga (Soundcloud, Youtube)

While u Wxrk, I Mvke Mvsic [FastMix (LP Preview)] [DL in Description] by Vufonk // PΞDROL∆DROG∆

Participating in various musical projects, and with a restless mind, Pedro The Drug is musical anarchy, and here are a small sample. Finding another sound akin to his would take you across space and the internet, not suitable for epileptics ...

7. Judah (Soundcloud, Facebook)

Girls Love Beyonce (Judah Bootleg) (DL link in Description) by Judah Norweside

To finish this post I leave you with another producer from northern Spain. In terms of vibe, Judah produces Bass Music more influenced by R & B, Hip Hop or Soul. Judah's music is aleways the good shit for the club !

I could name many more producers that deserve mention but I'll reserve those for future posts!

Saludos from the south coast of Spain!
